In this show, we will create an aesthetic that appeals to everyone - it's never defined "what" is being shattered. Sound effects, visual transitions, and impacts will allow the audience to interpret this show based on their own personal experiences: a lost love, the loss of a loved one, a dream destroyed, etc. It is designed to evoke an emotional response to all those who see it performed.
REPERTOIRE:
Movement 1: "It shattered something inside me that hadn't been broken before." "The Chaos Theory by: James Bonney This movement alludes to an even that has just happened. Tragedy has struck.
Movement 2: "Shattered dreams, worthless years, here I am encased in a hollow shell." Shallow by: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper This heart-wrenching ballad takes an interpersonal look at the "loss" that has occurred.
Movement 3: "Hope rises like a phoenix from the ashes of shattered dreams." Neodammerung by: Don Davis Literally translated from German meaning "the twilight of Neo", the entire manifest of this movement into depict the rising from tragedy - the change that happens to someone or something when they are shattered. A true redemption, lake a phoenix that rises from the flame.
